Downtown Ambassadors

Program Objective

The program's primary objective: To promote downtown through beautification efforts, entertainment and distribution of various downtown information. 

Coverage Area

The Downtown Canton Special Improvement District, which encompasses 12th north to 6th south and Cherry to McKinley Avenue was the designated area targeted for cleaning and a majority of that area was cleaned. This area encompasses 80 city blocks.

Work Schedule

The teens work from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. three days a week including Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The program begins June 12 and continues through August 18.
